Introduction

Welcome to friends old and new.  Considering that the Sacred Heart, which is the Heart of Jesus, represents God's mercy for his wayward children we strive to understand the depth of that love and its meaning for us.    

In the Old Testament circumcision was a sign of the covenant.  The circumcision according to the flesh showed physically that one belonged to the people of God.  As such it was a symbol that corresponds to baptism which introduces a person through spiritual regeneration into a new person in Christ and spiritually marks the new Christian as belonging to the people of God according to the New Covenant.

When Jesus' heart was pierced through with a lance at the end of his crucifixion blood and water flowed out from his heart.  The reason we use water for baptism is because it flowed out from the pierced heart of Jesus.  His heart is filled with mercy...

Families today are in crisis, and a commitment from various sectors of society is needed to come to their aid, says Benedict XVI.

The Pope said this today upon receiving in audience representatives from the Forum of Family Associations and the European Federation of Catholic Family Associations, who are in Rome to participate in the conference "Alliance for the Family in Europe, Associations in the Leading Role."

Featured Speaker – Michele Fleming

Michele Fleming speaks to Catholic adults and teenagers about dating, discernment, and applying biblical principles to dating life.  Her dating seminars have been heard at St. Joseph's Radio and numerous conferences and retreats across the west coast.  She is currently a graduate student in Clinical Psychology and Theology and her specialty is the integration of the two fields.  She was formerly the Director of Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of San Diego.  Recently married in 2006, Michele and her husband Dan work with singles and engaged couples, witnessing on how to follow God's plan for their dating and married life.
