Welcome to those of you who are receiving our newsletter for the first time and welcome back to our longtime friends. We are focusing this month of March on "Marriage". 

Why is marriage such a big deal? Ask anyone who hopes for it, has made an attempt at it or is happily journeying through it, and you will find someone who knows struggle. "Happily ever after" does not come without a fight. 

Some will argue that we can taste the same sweetness of marriage without swallowing the authentic meal.  We can share physical intimacy, a roof over our heads, financial goals and even children if we wish, without marching our way up to the altar. So what’s the difference? Why should we take that step toward the altar anyway?

Because authentic marriage brings emotional, physical and spiritual happiness like no other relationship on earth! 

In this issue, we will focus on only one aspect of marriage - the emotional benefits.  From an emotional standpoint, when two people find love and choose to marry, they join their lives so intimately that they become one in heart, mind & body and soul – forever!  Having the emotional assurance....

Introducing a new way to be in touch with The Goretti Group.  The Goretti Group is now on Facebooks!  We have two sites on Facebooks; one is dedicated to St. Maria Goretti for prayer and intercession and the other is dedicated for promoting marriage.

Tip #78 from 101 Tips for a Happier Marriage

When issues arise, be as generous as you can with your spouse. If you can, thank your spouse for bringing this issue to your attention. If you can, tell him you think he or she has a point. If you can, sympathize with how they feel, even if you don't agree with the point they are making.

If you are a homo sapien, this may be very difficult. Try working on one technique and then working your way up to the trifecta. Can you imagine how quickly and easily this attitude will diffuse a potentially explosive situation? And with any luck, your spouse will catch on and follow your lead. Arguments will turn into constructive and productive relationship-building conversations.
