The 2020 Theology of the Body Conference is a conference for men and women comprised of Theology of the Body themed talks and opportunities for Q&A and discussion. Following the talks, the conference will conclude with Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, and Vigil Mass. The Goretti Group is excited to host Father Robert Marczewski, a chaplain at Thomas Aquinas College to present a series of talks on Theology of the Body at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in San Diego.
He is the author of the book, A Legacy of Saint John Paul II: The Reception of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body in the Catholic Church in the United States of America. Born in Gdansk, Poland, Father Marczewski attended Ss. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in the United States and was ordained to the priesthood in 1995. He served for 14 years in Philadelphia parishes and returned to the Methodius Seminary, where he served for seven years as the dean of spiritual direction.
“I was blessed to meet John Paul II several times in person, and I always took something from these meetings,” Fr. Marczewski reflects. “He could be in the presence of many people, but when you were before him, he gave all his attention to you.” Having met with Pope John Paul II on several occasions and having studied Theology of the Body extensively, Father Marczewski is an invaluable resource in helping us better understand John Paul II’s teaching on Theology of the Body.
